Curriculum:

• Understanding the body

• Taking measurements for patterns

• Breaking down the measurements to develop slopers for pants

• Breaking down the measurements to develop slopers for tops

• Drafting slopers

• The basics of draping on a dress form

• Draping through the shrink wrap method

• Trouble shooting and fit corrections

• Test fitting muslins made from slopers and making fit corrections

At the completion of the class, students should know how to draft basic, well fitting slopers and be prepared for level II which is to cover using slopers to make pattens for clothing
